Talked to my Dad last night. They are expecting a large stained glass piece for Christmas. Ekkk. Okay, my mom started it with wanted a piece for the window on the side of the front door. She couldn't really tell me what she wanted, so I forgot about it until my sister mentioned that that's what they wanted for Christmas. While I was waiting

Wow -that is some task. I do like your stained glass -what design are you working to?

I'll have to post a picture when I get back to the house. Stay tuned. This will be a long project and I posted various stages.

That's kind of cool.

I've been commissioned a few times by friends and family and I'm always flattered. The trouble is, it tends to suck a lot of the joy out of the hobby when I find myself obliged to work on it (and do a spectacular job to boot).

Anyway... luck!

Time will tell on the joy part. This project has ~300 pieces. I haven't even finished cutting the pattern pieces yet. Although I did stop cutting pattern pieces and cut 3 glass pieces, only another 297 to go.
