Stay the fuck away from any thing going into DC. I just drove past the Greenbelt Metro and there was a 2 mile long line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot. What the fuck!!! I'll be part of history by watching that shit on the Tele!!!!.....and any one asking why I was driving past the greenbelt metro will meet a swift and silent staking. I

I was sitting here on my couch watching the news and feeling guilty for not making it. Thanks for the slap of reality and that I'm not being stupid by staying home.

No Problem. I almost got to be one of the supporting interpreters for this. I am NOW glad that got cancelled. I would have lost my mind if I had went to the metro at 5am and had to sit in traffic to get to the metro and then take the metro with a bunch of people. YE GODS!!!

1. I pay for living in DC, in many ways. But I like the trade-off. Plus lots of people crashed out in people's places in the city for the night.
2. That really doesn't matter in a crowd like that. It was more a matter of being as well-informed as one could, being flexible in terms of how you got to where you were going, and moving very quickly ;-).
