I don't know if this will work, but I am teach kids at my job so I know how stubborn and unruly they can be. One of the ways I get them to behave is to make it seem like they're missing out on something fun. It's trickery but i find it works. But anyway, it seems you got some nice gifts and hand-me-downs. Good for you. =:)

Thanks for the idea, and I have tried that. Most things only work once on this kid.

If that's the case then hit him with a stick. It's something that can be done many times, over and over(and over!).

I found your journal via joncub. I teach karate in Canada and teach a lot of kids. I've never had a kid that bad! Is there a reason why the parents are having their son learn English now? You'd think if their child wasn't obviously ready to learn from an adult that they'd hold off for a little while (I've read through your LJ but I don't recall what age this child is).

I've also friended your journal, incidentally. Have a look at mine and if you want to do the same that would be nice (but of course it's up to you).

The strange thing about this child is he can speak English. He can talk about planes, Hokkaido, shinkansen and the different ones that they have in Japan. He is about 7 I think. He is an only child and spoiled. I have taught his mother who is more than aware of his behaviour. The one the thing his parents want us to focus on his is writing. It is also the one thing he will not do, he usually makes a mess of his work book, and then he writes is name very neatly at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for adding me as a friend.

CD Players can save anybody's life when away from home, it did the same for me. It was part of my survival kit, togheter with 20 CD's and guess what? My Guitar!

On the other hand I would love to have a Microwave who does toasts!

And now that you are close to those ingenous people ask them to invent an Microwave on reverse, one that can freeze stuff. That will be rad !

Sure I will teach you how to play gtr; are you free tonight? As for the freezowave (r) is to freeze stuff in a minute, it is the same principle as a microwave to raplace the Traditional Oven. ;)

My microwave doesnt have a sperate section, you take the plate out and press a button then it acts like a toaster oven.
