Keiko looks up to see Tem Leeta leaning in the doorway, a cup of raktajino in hand. The Bajoran looks far too bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for this hour of the night. It's just her way, like the way her expansive gestures and the spring in her step always make her seem much larger than the Japanese woman she works with. Leeta is the people-person on the team, offsetting Keiko's skill with computers.
With a slight mocking expression, Leeta waits to hear what's going on. "Bashir been hitting on you again or something, Ishikawa?"

...So close...Seems someone has taken the liberty of upping his security. Not surprised, but it's still a piss off.
She says in response to Leeta's question before snorting in reply as the Bajoran woman jokes about their captain.
Hmph not if he values his life he won't...
Motioning to another screen she frowns while studying the Cardassian who is just finishing up his acceptance speach.Apparently the Regent as decided that its time for another Intendant to take over Bajor. Lucky us. If thats no enough it sounds like they have something up their sleeve and believe me I'm not ( ... )

You have to admire his persistence, Keiko. Although I just don't see the attraction. Sisko was cuter.
She sees what's on the screen and grows a little more sober.
Frakk. At least they didn't send us a Klingon.
Leeta frowns, sitting on the desk and crossing her legs.
I bet they'll want the Station back now that they've got an Intendent again.

Yeah well at least he isn't as scummy as Sisko is either.
Folding her arms she studies the screen as her expression grows dark to Leeta's words.
Thats what I'm afraid of...I just hope our fearless leader has something up his sleave or we're all screwed.
As if on cue the commlink activates as the terse voice of captain Bashir comes through.
Keiko, I need updates on all recent Alliance military communications right away.
Keiko rolls her eyes as she casts Leeta a glance shaking her head.
confirmed I'll be on it, but it will take some time I imagine the lines are buzzing like a hive.
Bashir's voice grows sharp as he retorts.
We need this information now, as in yesterday. Bashir out.
The line goes dead as seh sighs softly before beginning to work her "magic" on the firewalls guarding the highly classified Military links.
Unbelievable, who does he think I am? Some sort of Oni who grants wishes...Oh look here click your heels three times and poof all the information you need on military movement is on your desk...

She has come to realize, far too late, that she still loves him. There is no chance of him returning the love any more, and in truth it is more of a fond nostalgia than romantic love, now. But as she watched her relationship with Kira deteriorate, and saw the woman become more and more self-centred and incapable of love, she realized that she was just a notch on Kira's bedpost and began to wonder if, after all, she had been better off before the affair.
It still hurts to think of the last time she spoke with Dukat in person, even though time has dulled some of the sting of it. Kira never quite trusted her after she went off to Cardassia that time without authorization, and Neprem began to realize how easily Kira withdrew her trust from people--if she had ever ( ... )

She picks up the portable video-commlink from her dresser--she's taken the precaution of not contacting Ezri through any of the computers that are part of the research station's network--and answers it with a faintly worried expression on her face. She frowns at the unfamiliar Cardassian woman on the screen.
I'm sorry, how did you get this channel?

Blinking Siantira looks slightly taken aback by her abrupt greeting as she wonders if Ezri had warned Neprem, but judging by the woman's expression the answer is once more a definate no. Terrific...She thinks miserably as she smiles to her politely trying to be as diplomatic as she can while beating down her frustration that once more another complication has arisen.
I assume you've been informed by Ezri about my contacting you in regards to the security parameters and codes?
She starts off smoothly deciding against a proper introduction as she hopes to keep the woman on the line long enough to recieve the much needed information. Though she knows that chances are she hasn't recieved word of this meeting she hopes perhaps that there is a slim chance she remembers...

The lovely face of Damar's Bajoran associate fills the screen; she looks worried, and doesn't even blink at seeing Ezri instead of Damar. Either she isn't surprised that the Trill is in Damar's quarters, or this message is too important to wait. Probably both.
"Ezri, you'd better see this." She taps a panel offscreen, and the screen melts into the face of Regent Troi.
Ezri watches the transmission with growing horror. As it finally ends, she stares at the darkened screen in shock for a few seconds.
"Oh...shit."
Raising her voice to reach into the next room--
"Esorel!"

Suddenly Ezri's voice catches his attention as he steps out of the room quickly still shirtless as he grabs his top in teh process.
What's up?
He asks casually till he notices the look on her face, which causes his own smile to fade. Something is very wrong and he finds himself anxious to know what just happened.
What is it?

We have a problem. It seems our "passenger" has suddenly become a lot more troublesome than we thought.
The sarcasm in her voice belies the serious understatement she's just made.
Dukat's just been made Intendant of Bajor.
She doesn't need to say any more than that; they both know how protective Dukat is of his family, and what lengths he'll go to if he finds that his daughter's missing, now with all the forces of the Bajoran Empire at his fingertips. And who knows? Maybe she was stupid enough to tell him or Anja where she was going. Not to mention what kind of effect this might have on their other mission ( ... )

Frak me. Your serious aren't you?
He says in barely audible tones. Problem is an obvious understatement he thinks as his mind begins to think of all the possibilities and complications that could rise from this. The little brat just had to pick now to hop on board our ship. He suddenly wonders if perhaps this was a purposeful move on her part to weed them out but quickly pushes that out of his thoughts as he realizes she is far too naive for that. Besides Anja did know she was with them the question remained did Dukat know? Or did he even know anything at all? Not to mention the obvious of how would this new complication effect their main mission. He hopes that Anja will keep him distracted long ( ... )
