As her scattered thoughts come back to earth, her mild frustration with her project melts into a completely different set of thoughts. She isn't quite sure what she expected to feel when she met Siantira in the flesh--they've talked on the comm, and seemed to get along well, but the brief moment between them in the transporter room when Neprem beamed on board was strictly business. With a small, distant part of her brain Neprem realizes now that she must have been disappointed in that, must have wanted something more from Siantira than Hi, we're all set up for you on deck two, have you got your equipment? Otherwise, why is she breaking out in a light sweat now--why does her heartrate speed up just a little as the Cardassian smiles at her ( ... )

Hee, you liked this? Actually a good bit of it (the emotional realization that, omg, she likes this person, is actually interested in them--which she hasn't admitted to herself, or thought that way about anyone for ages) comes from the ending of yours where you're all, "and nothing would ever be the same..." Because, okay, so they're not very much farther along the road towards couple-hood, as far as the outside observer can tell, but it's definitely a significant turning point, as far as N. is concerned...
Am happy with this scene as is, we can write more as we get ideas. :) Different settings, more of the "official" plot with Damar/Ezri/Beriani/Norvo/Stadi/Rahl/Dukat/Ziyal et cetera, or whatever. Hee. *likes this scene, though*
And Sharon Stone...I LIKE that idea.

*beams* Hell yeah that was freaking amazing!! It's very subtle but as you said it certainly marks a shift in gear or turning point...
And here you say you aren't a writer!! =P Feh!
*nods* I agree i'm too fearful if we write more it would take away from teh charm of it all... Ooh! Good idea! We should totally do that and have it all here so we can keep better track of it all!
