Happy Wednesday everyone! I started back to work yesterday after having a lot of time off, it was actually a relaxing day. I was able to just sit at my desk and do some work. But I got sick Sunday. I think once I stopped, it just hit me. But so much has gone on since I was here last.....
Christmas - It was great, busy, but great. It still didn’t feel like Christmas to me. I was not able to eat with my family because of scheduling but my wonderful mom redid the dinner for lunch the next day so I could enjoy her GREAT food. We had lots of fun at Josh's aunt’s house. I love his family.
Tampa Trip - I was so excited about our girl’s trip. We had a lot of fun. And it was amazing that there were 7 women and all of us got along great and bonded and there was nothing but love the whole trip. I think at the end of all the drama, the right people were in place! :) We ROCK!!!
The Rehearsal - Setting up, I was so in my element. I love putting stuff together. It looked amazing. And then this wonderful moment happened - Mom said "Okay Robin, you’re in charge!!" This happiness fell over me! hahahaha! Me a control freak???...nah! hahahaha! Getting it started was a little hectic but it went smoothly. Then we did it again and it was even better. Much better then my rehearsal where I about had a stroke thinking I had a bunch of monkey's in my wedding that couldn’t follow instructions! I was being called the Wedding Nazi because I was being loud and bossy, but you try guiding Grandparents, Parents, 5 girls, 5 guys a bride and a groom and you have to be loyd and bossy! The dinner afterwards was (in Stef voice) soooooo good. I never have been to BW3's. I will be going back a lot! Good pick Sugar Butt! :) Afterwards Mr. Trey (more on him later) made us go to Liquid. If you ever want to truly feel like the prettiest girl in the room, go there! hahahahaha. Wow, the freaks really do come out at night! But good times were had.
The Big Day - I was SO nervous. I have never done a wedding before. I have helped plan and pick out and do invitations and favors, but I was never a director. I had my clip board and that gave me some peace. hahaha. The guys were again calling me the wedding Nazi. All us girls went to the salon to get all purty, and I must say, Susie is AMAZING. All of us looked great and different. As soon as we got to the place, Annabelle did my make up and I got dressed and I and my clip board were off to get things ready. All I was missing was an ear piece and someone to talk to in it. :) It was a little hectic as people were coming in and then all the questions everyone was asking me. The room spinned a few times, but then there was Stan, my night and shinning helper. He calmed me so many times and I am so thankful for him. Then the moment came where the wedding was going to start. The guys walk, the girls walk, Jenn walks, gets to William, Jason starts talking and them BAM - I have the wedding bands on my fingers!!! I freaked out. And then Stan saves the day. He makes it up to the front just as Jason asked who has the rings and then Stan handed them to him. It looked like it was supposed to happen. Stan was a user and in a tux so he looked important (and he is). I was so scared Jenn was going to be so mad at me, but I don’t think she noticed. BUT.. That was the only mishap the whole night. Everything just flowed and everyone had the best time. William and Jenn just looked amazing and I am so happy for them. It truly was a perfect night if I do say so myself! Josh asked me if I was enjoying being in charge and I said yes but no. I loved it, but because I love Jenn and I know how important it all was to her, it was a nervous reck to make sure it all went well. If it was a stranger then it would have been different. Then Josh said no, you would still be ocd about it! hahahaha. But at the end, Jenn couldn’t stop smiling and that is all that is important, my goal was accomplished.
I woke up Sunday and all we had to do was be at my nanny's for lunch and as the day went on, I got sicker and sicker. I got home and slept all day and all night. And pretty much slept all of Monday because I felt like crap. Was up all night Monday night and some how made it to work yesterday. I slept better last night. I don’t think i'll make it all day today.
Oh, Tiki called me last night. She is Josh's cousin's fiancée and she asked me to be in the wedding. I was so honored. I think weddings are meant to be in my life. I think god is giving me signs and I should listen. If everyone was being truthful and Jenn's wedding looked like I had been doing it for a while and it was my first, maybe that is my calling. I love weddings so much, I mid as well do them. But her wedding isn’t till 2008, so I have time. :)
