no. I've made ice cream both ways and believe me, motor-turned makers churn out the same quality. The flavor's in the recipe, old man, not the damned crank!
Now kiddo, you shouldn't go off concerning things you don't understand! I wasn't referring to its improperness concerning flavor, but because such a motorized contraption does not involve the entire family, and therefore is of a lesser quality. I mean, would your family gather around a whirring motor and say, "Ooooh, look at it churn!" I doubt it! But, if they were doing the churning themselves, think of all the awesome memories which would be created.
It's true, the hand-cranked ice cream does taste different!
Ours was always peppermint ice-milk, which took forever to churn (probably because of the low fat content) and always tasted a bit salty because the cannister would leak a little. But still, very good!
That sounds like an interesting flavor. Lizbeth has voted for either vanilla or french vanilla the first time around. Hopefully, our canister won't leak.

I will always pass on vanilla for a more interesting flavor. Chocolate! Mocha! Cherry chunk! *glaaagh~~* (Homer Simpson drool noise)

Yup, you sometimes gotta keep your whits about you when you're young and you're talking to an adult. They'll try and trick you every time. *grin*
