Oooooo I love it! It's so delicious when a moment of treachery is paid back. That's got to be one unhappy dad out there...

Yeah, ordinarily you'd have to pity the poor Dad. Given the nature of many royal families however, I'd wonder if he wasn't primarily responsible for the way both kids turned out.

I really wish I had given myself just a bit more time to play with this whole setup. I wanted the general to be... Not shocked really, but certainly taken aback by her obvious cruelty and duplicity. Ah well, perhaps next time I won't wait until literally the last minute. LOL That was scary!

Yes, down, and down, and down. *grin* I knew once I had my story idea that she would have to die at the end. I couldn't let that sort of treachery stand. Thanks for reading!

You know, I just realized who you are, lol. Didn't occur to me before now that we had any connection other than sweeny_todd. Live journal really has gotten small. I like how drawn out your story is. I struggle with that, being used to writing poetry in short powerful bursts of image. It's hard to keep that momentum going, and to keep things linear and clear. With luck I'll get a chance to practice more in Scribbles.

I'm afraid you have the advantage over me then. :) Where else have we met? Through LJ Idol?

It's funny that you say this was drawn out, if I hadn't been rushing to meet a deadline, I'm certain I would've made it longer. That's almost always my impulse, to write and write and write, and that's one reason I enjoy the timed challenges. Get in, and get it done. *grin*

You know, no one's submitted any poetry in AWOS lately. I have zero talent in that category myself, so hope you'll share some of yours with us.

Thanks for reading!

We hadn't met yet, but apparently you're the moderator for this cool writers community I found, and also a friend of Sweeny's who I've been following for 5+ years. That ridiculous dollhouse story was my first post for scribbles as I just joined several days ago.

When I see a prompt for poetry, I'll definitely jump in again.

Oh, I gotcha, and glad you're enjoying AWOS. If you don't mind me asking, how did you find us? Was it one of the ads I put up, or did you do a search?

We don't actually have specific poetry prompts, so feel free to adapt the challenges which are there to poetry if you like. AWOS is pretty wide open that way.
