Lovely! I often described Frodo's eyes as "shadowed" in my fanfiction, meaning a sorrow hangs over him, and this so perfectly pictures what I mean when I use that phrase! I think it is the slight dipping of the upper eyelid - to me, it conveys a lurking sadness. Beautiful, beautiful work.
