Commission for major_dallas and My Return to LJ!!
First things first. Enormous thanks to everyone for your help, support, and positive energy while I got through the end of the Thesis of Doom (and other speed bumps...). I seriously think I was losing my mind towards the end there, but your comments really made the last couple of weeks seem a lot less lonely. I'm probably going to be spending ALL WEEK catching up! :)
Anyway, onto the art. This is actually for prof_irina; major_dallas commissioned it as a gift (what a good friend :D). He asked specifically for an acrylic painting and though I told him that I didn't know if I even knew how to do it, he said he had faith in me. So I did some homework, bought some paints, and am happy to present my first acrylic painting in over ten years!

Notes: Nate originally asked for them to pose for a portrait. I took that to mean a moving portrait. :) The young Weasley is showing the first signs of magic, and like all good parents, Ron and Hermione are getting a picture to commemorate the event.
