bad bracketing

what happened to Duke!? They screwed up my bracket! ;) And I thought USC not making it out of the first round when I had them going to the Final Four was bad enough! I'm really glad I didn't have Duke going to the championship game now.

I think I need a better bracket choosing strategy.

I had a student fill mine out after he was done with his quiz. I honestly don't remember how he filled it out, but he seemed to have thought it through pretty well. Even if I did remember, I don't pay enough attention to the games to know how I'd be doing.

I figure living where I do it's the best time to follow college basketball... And it was an amusing diversion while I was working on Friday. BTW, I picked Texas to win it all - I generally go with a "hmm, I've heard of them" or "I think they're good at basketball" method, very thorough of course.

Also, looks like you did a better job cheering for Davidson than for Duke. Maybe it was easier because they were closer. Or do you just like Gavin better than you like us?

I did managed to happen to be watching basketball during both of the Davidson games, at least the 2nd halves and rooting for them... I'm glad they're doing so well, but I swear I like you more than Gavin! (I think I've only ever met him the once when we went to the Bulls game... although I have heard about him a fair amount.)

Did he make it to the 2nd game? Next year I'm sure all the ACC teams will do better in the tournament.... hopefully we'll make it one of these years.
