I love Terra, I am a huge Teen Titans fan and Terra was the name of one of the characters there. I also love the Japanese name Azumi.

But I do love languages and aspire to be a linguist, therefore I wish to suggest...

Kaia, it means "Earth" or "from Earth" which would work well with Luna. "Kye-Ah" is how you pronounce it. It is Greek, like my own name, but it has a very Asian appearance to it. I've seen it spelled out many different ways. "Kaiya" is another way.

You'll note the similarities between that name and "Gaia" the name of the Earth Mother. You could name her that as well.

In the Polish language, "Ziemia" means "Earth".

"Ong Dia" is "earth god" in Vietnamese, but according to sources, to say it in Vietnamese you must say it this way, "Trái Đất".

"The Iroquois name for Mother Earth is Etenoha, the Lakota call her Ina Maka."

"Saturday is earth day. The Japanese word for earth is “dou”."

The Incas called Earth "Pachamama".

Hope this helps!

Interesting!

I like Kaia, it *does* have an oriental feel to it.

As for Terra.. I can't say much.. Only it's a little bit strange for portuguese-speakers, haha.. like Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter's name (Apple) might be for you.. (and yes, the mistaking for Tara could happen. >.<)

But I agree it shouldn't be an every-day name, especially after a sis called Luna. ^^ Heh.

Though I did wonder if the sister might resent her older sister or vice versa on the name choices.
