the perks of trauma
i've been back in bloomington for a week now. the day i got back michelina and i cleaned the shit out of our house. i benefited from seeing the mess my mama bettie, aunt jennifer, and nine-year-old cousin maggie-grace were living in because it motivated me to be cleaner. granted, our house was never as bad as that, but it was constantly dirty. my poppa bob died on wednesday. we're in north carolina. the funeral was yesterday. we've been cleaning my mama bettie's house because my aunt jennifer is a crazy hoarder. shit is insane.
despite the cleaning and crazy aunt jennifer, i'm feeling closer to this side of the family and i've never had that. it feels pretty good.
