Good News: There will be at least one new jira every month once the Dongo Toys site is up and running.
Bad News: There wont be a new one that you haven't seen when the site opens in May (been too busy make new toys).
Good News: There will be several new things you haven't seen yet...and (shhh...this is a secret...come closer...closer...there will be a drawing...if you're on the mailing list you could win...it will be a full set of the new toys...don't tell tho)
just a suggestion, we had a hella time hanging ours since the hole is in the middle and the hole is smooth, the way it's weighted it kept sliding down the nail and staring down at the floor at a 45 degree angle.. what we ended up doing was wrapping the nail with tape and then shoving the jira on that, so that there's a 1/4 inch area on the top of the nail which sticks to the clay and keeps the thing from sliding.. (I can post pics if this is unclear) maybe you have a better suggestion on how to hamg these? or not to tell you how to do your job but put the hole higher so it's weighted better? :)
at any rate, I'll post a pic when I get home, they look awesome I'm SO happy :D
yeah...hanging these guys isn't super easy. There are 2 ways that i've done it and both work pretty easy. One involves a special nail called a carpet nail. it's L shaped. Just pound it unto the wall and then hang the jira on the end. The turned up end keeps it from moving around. It's probably not worth buying a whole package of the carpet nails for just a few jira tho.
The best way in my experience is to drive a tack nail or 1.5" finishing nail at a 45 degree angle into the wall. The jira will hang perfectly on this. It can't slide down the nail because the nail comes out of the wall and points up toward the ceiling.
Is that clear? It may take a drawing...but i hope that helps a bit.
