Man, seriously, how many Doctors do we have to plow through before we get to one who ain't (1) white, (2) British or (3) a dude?

I was secretly hoping for Wanda Sykes who takes care of all three in one.

(That's mostly a joke. But man, seriously. Give another demographic a chance.)

I know you're joking about Wanda Sykes, but she wouldn't have been such a bad idea - but then again, you're talking to someone who lives in a very pro-Wanda Sykes household (to say nothing of how that would've landed us a queer Doctor, too!)

Four in one! That's better than three!

THE DOCTOR IS NOT A YOUNG TWERP THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

What happened to Patterson whatsisname? Who, granted, is young, but would have covered one of the other bases. Helen Mirren, yes yes. Imelda Staunton also. I still hanker for Rob Morrow, but that's just me. (--A New York Jewish Doctor? Writes itself.)

I can picture a whole season where the Tardis just keeps sending Rob Morrow back to Alaska, or John Collum shows up as the Master.

the doctor should be britsh. but it doesn't really matter
i am against the whole female thing, that makes little sense to their physiology.
and i prefered the marquis de carabis actor to anyone they were thinking of. i am disappointed

To be fair, if the Doctor's molecules are being rearranged wholesale into a whole new person every time he dies, crossing that gender line would take just the tiniest of nudges. It would probably take less energy to create a vagina that it would to create Eccleston's ears again, at least.

yes, but they clearly have male and female reproduction. i don't think that having there chromosomes changing that radically would be good for the species.

as he has always changed into a man, the master has always been male, and romana was female, it is safe to suppose they must be gender specific

YES EXACTLY YES. I got my hopes up with all the talk of Paterson Joseph. BAH.

(I am very fond of Christopher Eccleston's ears.)
