I'm contemplating shutting down my LJ account since I'm rarely on here as it is... the only times I really "post" are when I'm posting things on my other blog and it gives me the option to cross-post the same thing on LJ.

you could just leave it as is. doesn't cost anything to leave it unmaintained.
