For the regular crowd: Keep moving. These (likely) aren't the droids you're looking for ;)
First of all, thank you so much for writing for me! This is my fourth year doing Yuletide and each time I've loved both writing and receiving Yuletide gifts. I'm Jewish, so Christmas is usually a quiet day for me. That being said, getting a Yuletide gift in my mailbox makes the day a little more special.
Some general requests:
- I'm not big on fan-fiction that leaves me feeling more depressed than when I opened up my computer for some good ole fashioned escapism :) It certainly does NOT have to be all fluff, and I LOVE to see characters struggle with the external world and their own demons. I'd just rather not get a *complete* downer of a story. Similarly, no character death, please.
- No non-consensual sex, please (There's not much smut potential in my prompts for this year, but... ^^;;;). Similarly, no incest, killing puppies, etc.
- Lastly, I'm requesting no glorification of suicide completion. Suicidal ideation is okay if it's treated respectfully, but suicide completion is a big squick of mine.
Fandom 1: Maleficent (2014 movie)
Characters: Maleficent, Aurora
Optional Details Are Optional: I would love a post-movie story about Maleficent and Aurora being badass, awesome queens. (Okay, so Maleficent technically gave up that title at the end of the movie, but you get the idea). Maybe a fic where an older Aurora has to use her wisdom to keep the peace between the two lands? I really enjoyed how Aurora (as a human) had such genuine fascination, love, and respect for the Moors, and I'd love to see her continue to hold onto that as she matures as a ruler.
I am pro-femmeslash, but NOT for this pairing. I see Maleficent and Aurora as having a mother/daughter dynamic, so slashing them isn't my thing.
Fandom 2: West Side Story
Characters: Maria, Anita
Optional Details Are Optional: I've only gotten to the end of West Side Story a few times, because each and every time it makes me bawl. Still, there's something strangely hopeful in the ending in that unlike Romeo and Juliet, Maria gets to live. True, she's lost both her brother and the man she loves. But like the Jets and the Sharks together carrying away Tony's body at the end, I always thought Maria getting to live was a small light in the dark. I'd love to see a fic about Maria and Anita carrying on and overcoming, despite their losses.
Fandom 3: Elisabeth (Levay/Kunze)
Characters: Rudolph, Elisabeth, Franz
Optional Details Are Optional: I'd like to see something with Rudolph making peace with either his mother or father in death. I realize Optional Details are Optional, but *please* don't glorify his suicide.
