It's starting to really bother me how many people bastardize "I think, therefore I am". Descartes was not talking about how thinking was very important to him and without it he would be pathetic. He was not saying that thinking was his passion. He was trying to work out logically what he could prove for certain. One cannot doubt one's own thinking
