Am feeling much better since my last entry - both health-wise and in a general coping-with-life kind of way. So that's good.
Have been taking photos of the leftover Market stuff so I can put it up to sell, and struggling with my poor photography skills as per usual. Sneak preview anyway!

Oooh sexy. X3
What do you use for photo editing? If you edit the levels on your photos you can brighten them up a bit.

I use Picasa - not that I've done anything with this pic yet. Mainly because it looked fine on the screen, just dark when I posted it. :( I suck at editing as well as the actual taking of photos - never know how to do either properly!

What program do you use, out of interest?

I use acdsee for editing, and then photoshop for resizing and watermarks, and any advanced editing that I can't get right in acdsee. I was going to suggest picasa or picnik for free editing software, gimp is another one which is free.

I just did a quick edit of it on picnik online:

Ooh, I like! :D
I just find it really hard to work out what actually looks good - how much light, what is overexposed, what's too dark - and usually once I decide it looks right on my computer, once I post it, it looks wrong on the page. :(
I do like Picasa though - find it very useful. Don't have photoshop and am unfamiliar with acdsee - is that a program you buy or something online?

Really glad you're feeling better. *sends sparkles*

Morally Dubious Silk Corsets are decidedly lovely - and definitely morally dubious! ;) How in hell you get such detail in something so wee? It must be magic!

Hello, you! :D Glad you're back - sorry, I forgot to respond to your "I'm back!" post didn't I, as it was in the middle of my angst-week of DOOOOOOOOOM.
But yay - my life is indeed sparkly now! :D
Yes, that's right, it's magic. I have some captive gnomes to sew for me. :)

I think even a quick edit with picnik or similar stripped down web based image editor would help the colors pop! Umm, if you had an iphone, I'd actually reccomend tilt shift gen, which I don't actually use as intended, but instead as a quick and dirty color/balance/blue adjustment thing--but I don't know if you do. Obviously using photoshop is awesome, but if it seems like learning an entirely new skill set (photoshop makes me go whuuuut), then there's stripped down editors on the web. A sophisticated free editor is gimp, which is basically...like photoshop, but free. And legit! But really: free.

And I like free.

I'm basically against paying for software ever, I guess? OH WELL.

And thus, here's a list of 25 alternatives to asdsee, most of which are free. I've also heard that this freeware is similar, but I don't know, because I don't use acdsee.

/pirate pirate pirate ethos on teh internets

Advice aside, morally dubious silk corset looks BITCHING. I also love the dolly's haircolor? Unf.

Super glad to hear you are feeling better!

Oooh! Those links look all so super useful, will definitely check them out - I REALLY need help with my photography, I'm pretty confident with sewing, but when it actually comes to photographing the stuff I make, that's when it's back to amateur hour. :( (Fun fact: my dad is a professional photographer. Like, one of Australia's best, back in the day. Apparently not a single one of his skills has rubbed off on me! Oh well. At least I can get good photgraphy advice whenever I want it!)

Also: hell yes to red hair! If I can't have it myself, I'll just have to live out the dream through my dolls. :) I have...umm... oh god... 11 red headed dolls. Including tiny!Poison Ivy and Batgirl. It's at this point I look around and go: how the hell did I manage to buy so many dolls?! It doesn't feel like that many until I go and count them...

RED IS THE BEST. I am always trying to henna mine redder, but this is the reddest I've managed so far, and, you know. WANT REDDER.

also, I've been meaning to make a post about my hair forever, what what.

That is AWESOME about your dad, homg.

Love your batverse dolls. Would cuddle them all.
