Name: Philippines (Fi ri 'pin zu) Maria Clara Carriedo de los Santos
Age: 21
Why the name? It's because Maria Clara is worn by a lot of filipinos during the Spanish until the Japanese colonization. Also, the "de los Santos" it was a character for Jose Rizal's novel, Noli Me Tangere. Jose Rizal is the Philippines' national hero, so let's leave it at that. The "Carriedo" is obviously from Spain. She WAS colonized by him, so yeah.
Hobbies: Cleaning, Cooking, Baking, Singing (especially karaoke), Dancing, Eating food from different places.
Likes: Whacking people with a broom, Shishi, her pet Tarsier, making food for the Allies during their summits, using the honorifics "-kun" "-chan" and "-san".
Dislikes: France, England's cooking, Romano's lazy behavior, being called "dependent", Japan.

About:
Although she acts tough, or frowns most of the time, she is a cheerful and shy girl who tries her best to be a well-respected and independent country.
She tends to carry her broom around, ready to hit France or to whack America on the head if he starts slacking in her house again.
When nervous, she tends to chant "UWA WA wa wa wa....." or sometimes "Ano man yan, ano man yan, ano man yaaan~". She is fond of watching
Korean drama, but sometimes, she is too busy to watch them. She studies different cooking styles so she can surprise the Allied on their next summit.
Always optimistic, she tends to make friends with other countries, but only to end up being a maid for that country. She hates being abused so she tends to fight back or run away. The only unsuccessful escape is when she grew tired of America's bossiness, so she tried to run away. Only to end up being brought back by America himself. She has a dislike for Japan, and sometimes his dog, Mochi, who suddenly attacked Shishi, her pet Tarsier. She is often sickly because of corruption and bankruptcy, so America and China helps her with some of her country's political issues.
She goes all jealous when girls fangirl over America. Unfortunately, she denies it.

History:
China's Care:
China was very respectful to her traditions and treated her well. In turn, she followed and was influenced by his traditions.
Spain's Attack:
Spain discovered the Philippines and took control of the little nation. She was forced to work as a maid, and developed a sisterly relationship
with Romano. She soon got used to his cultures and traditions and often imitated them.
England's Kidnap;
England saw the little nation-tan cleaning outside of Spain's mansion, and kidnapped her. Though she only stayed for a few years with him, she became
best friends with a young America.
America's Colonization:
Philippines was returned to Spain, but Spain gave the ownership to America, and she was left under his care. SInce America was still young, England substituted for him until he was old enough to take control of her colonization. She spent long years with him and grew close with him.
Japan's Invasion:
During WWII, he attacked and bombed her house, though America fought back, he was driven away, leaving his famous words "I shall return." Philippines, in turn, replied "Yeah, you'd better." The Axis Powers abused her and made her do all the household chores. She tried to escape a number of times, but failed each time. America came back with more recuits, and rescued Philippines, Japan surrendered, and everything was in peace again.
America then declared Philippines to be an independent country, later recieving a big hug from her.
Relationships:
America - Best friend, Actually likes him, but denies it. Likes to copy his "culture"
England - Cooks for him, offers advice for cooking and cleaning.
France - Hates him.
Japan - Dislikes him, but comes by his house to play Wii with Taiwan.
Spain - Comes by to help harvest tomatoes.
Romano - A big sister to him.
Taiwan - Close friend, calls her "Wanwan".
Vietnam - Close friend
A possible Philippines sketch. It couldn't be Vietnam because of her personality. I mean look at this. It's so tsundere. And her hair, and everythjing else. Vietnam has no headband. So yeah. This could be Philippines.
