021. Park Benches, Yesung/Kyuhyun
‘Aah…A day off !’ Yesung drops himself on his bed, rolling over to reach out and lifts his turtle out of it’s case. He grins as the turtle doesn’t seem to pleased at the sudden flight through the day. ‘You’re really boring’ he tells his pet friend as he puts him back. He yawns and stares at the ceiling, wondering if he should do some exercising or not. ‘Hyung !’ Kyuhyun bounces into his room and Yesung expects him to ask if Yesung can come play games with him. ‘Hyung, let’s go to the park. The weather is nice !’ ‘What ? No games ?’ ‘Donghae and Eunhyuk are using the PC’ Kyuhyun pouts and Yesung laughs as he stands up. ‘What do you want to do in the park ?’ ‘Just…Sit on a bench and watch the lake…’ Kyuhyun explains with a dreamy expression on his face. ‘All right then…Let’s go !’ ‘Really ?! You’re the best, hyung !’
‘Ah, I see you found somebody crazy enough to go with you’ Shindong shakes his head as he sees the two of them walking through the corridor. ‘You’ll regret it, hyung !’ ‘No, I won’t’ Shindong laughs.
Once in the park Yesung feels like a mother with her child, as Kyuhyun happily skips few meters ahead of him. ‘Hyung ! I want to sit there !’ Kyuhyun suddenly yells over his shoulder, pointing at the last bench of the row in on the dead-end path they’re walking on. As Yesung nods he starts to run towards the bench and Yesung shrugs, not making any attempt to walk faster. Once they both sit down Yesung understands why Kyuhyun choose that bench, from this point you can watch the full lake with everything around, you even can see the kids’ playground far away.
‘Let’s go home’ Kyuhyun suggest about an hour later as they both sat in silence all the time. Yesung wants to say something but as Kyuhyun stands up first he gasps loudly. ‘What’s wrong ?’ ‘Your back…I…the bench…OH !’ Kyuhyun turns his neck to catch a glimpse of what Yesung saw on his back, only to see his whole back colored blue. He looks at the park bench which is also…blue. ‘But I don’t think only my side had wet paint’ He manages to say after a while. Yesung immediately jumps up and finds out that indeed, not only Kyuhyun’s part was freshly painted. ‘Uh well…I don’t think there’s anything we can do except for go back to the dorm and change…’ ‘Run back to the dorm, I’d say’ ‘Agree’ They look at each other and nod at the same time, starting to run towards their dorm in high speed. We can be quite sure that ever since, Yesung and Kyuhyun check the benches before sitting on it.
