Hey everybody i'm looking for advice on buying a functional (stage) sword.. right now i'm looking at these two cutlasses/cutlass' but i'm unsure of their quality.. does anyone have any experience with the swords from by-the-sword.com or Windlass swords.. or any better places to find one? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.. either to

I'm replying here so as not to clog up the NE Rennies post any further...

First, before you invest in a sword: have you expressed an interest in a fighting role to whaleomelette and/or fightguy and coscaram? If you haven't, then you might not be on the list of prospective fighters. Take care of that first.

Next, ask fightguy and coscaram if you even need one. They already have a good idea of who they want in fighting roles, and if you aren't on the list or they have another weapon in mind for you, then buying a sword might be a pointless investment right now. From what came out of the staff meeting Wednesday, only a few select people will be using swords of any sort
