Continuing to read the book 'terrorism and war' Zinn makes a very good point that i hadn't really thought about before, what we are doing now in the middle east is an almost exact continuation of what we were doing during the cold war except now we are using the word 'terrorism' instead of 'communism' which got trite after oh so many years of use ( Read more... )

Why do we try? why do we care about people who don't care about themselves? who don't want to help themselves? who don't want to help others? who don't want to be helped themselves?
