so i sold some old gold jewelry yesterday (i tried to sell a bunch more but found out i had some really cheap relatives that gave me jewelry they said was gold, but wasnt), a pendant, a coin, and a chain, and got $240 bucks.... not bad at all

Hitchhikers is definitely fun, I like books that make me laugh out loud. And I'm really happy you picked up Catch 22!

I really only like the look of gold on very dark skin, other than that it just seems tacky to me. And I can't believe you had so much jewelry! This post actually made me realize, all the value in most of the jewelry I have is based solely on design. If I tried to go somewhere to sell it, they probably wouldn't take any of it perhaps with the exception of my class ring.

you should read al franken's book "lies and the lying liars who tell them"... i dont think i ever laughed more at a book.

and i wished my class ring was real gold, which it was not. if it was, im sure iw ouldve gotten a ton of cash for it, and not regretted it at all!
