A lot has been made of Detroit in the national media lately, and it has been making me think about what it really means to be a Detroiter. What makes us unique, what makes us succeed and what makes us fail. I think we have a truly unique culture here, as most places. But I have never really been able to put my finger on it until lately

Awww, <3 Coney Island! I remember the days that my dad would pick me up from school, he would take me either to Big Boys or Coney Island, but I liked Coney Island better cause he'd let me pick out a dessert in their little spinning display and I'd always get carrot cake.

Hey, so there was this really great article in the Free Press about Detroit in January and that I'd love for you to read but I can't find it now...I shall search some more...
