"Take 5" by Dave Brubeck was the single most requested song when I was a Jazz DJ. Love that song!

Alas, I doubt this will get me to listen to jazz. Fortunately, I doubt you are the person you are referring to.

(On the other hand if you do a blues list, I'll pay close attention. How can I like blues and not like jazz? I have no idea. Makes no sense.)

And hey - capital letters. Trend or one-time offer?

I tend to believe that people who don't like Jazz dismiss it for one of two reasons: they don't want to like Jazz, or they haven't heard enough of it. It is simply the broadest genre out there, if you like blues, you can find jazz you like, if you like rock, you can find jazz you like, if you like pop or hip hop or country or R&B or reggae or world music or afro-cuban or african or native american or indian or chinese, there is a form of jazz that leans on it. It truly is amazing.

I really dislike capital letters, well, not so much capital letters, but the idea that we need to signify things using them. I think it is terribly overrated. But, the new Moxilla capitalizes things automatically a la microsoft word, and I always tried to get names and the like capitalized so people know I am referring to something specific. So there ya go with that. Plus, I tend to do it more naturally with the amount that I type in my job. It is a social norm that I hate, but ultimately have to conform to as long as I am not writing my own personal stuff.
