I'm sorry it's taken so long to comment on your entry. I'm pretty sure that your post came out while I was on vacation and things were kinda hectic then. (It was a working vacation -- doing stuff for the mother-in-law.)

I'm really a blues beginner, so pardon if he's not considered blues. What do you think of Kenny Wayne Shepherd?

Thanks again.

He is much more rock than blues, but I certainly would put him in that vein.

I'm not a big fan personally, but admittedly, I'm not that versed in his music. Some people think very highly of him, and I think he got rated like 3rd best blues guitarist all time but guitar world, which is probably why I don't care for his music. It is hard to hear the comparison to BB King and Clapton before you hear the music, and actually have the music live up to that, so I'm biased.

From what I've heard of him, he is essentially muddy waters with fast tempos (guitar playing NOT SINGING, NOT EVEN CLOSE TO MUDDY IN THAT REGARD) which would mean he is essentially johnny winter, who I listed.

I just dont find him that original, but if you like him, by all means, love it. and listen to muddy and listen to winter, you might like them as well. Try out bo diddley as well, you probably like the fast paced electric blues, all of those guys are up your alley i think.
