Here is a typical British summer, this photo was taken a few hours ago outside my front door on August 9th, yes, that's August, which is apparently known as a Summer month here in the Northern hemisphere.( Read more... )
Ah well at least the weather doesn't just have a grudge against us Brits, it seems everyone's having problems!
Thank you! Yes I can't describe the relief, I've been feeling nervous for weeks and weeks, now I feel so much more relaxed :o)
I did get my gift today, but it's been ruined :o( It was a dozen red roses, which is a lovely thought from Pete, but they've been sitting in a box for 4 days so they've gone all brown and mouldy. They're going to send some more for free, but that's not the point, they were meant to be a surprise for our anniversary on Friday and they spoiled it. I won't be using that company again, that's for sure!
As I write this it's pouring down rain, so you're not the only one with crummy weather! Nice bikes *drools* *awe* Happy Birthday Meg the collie dog, I love the card you made for her and your mam is a riot :D Congratulations on your fifth anniversary with Pete. Once again *happy dance* congrats on passing your driving test. {hugs}
Ah well, at least Mother Nature doesn't just have a grudge against the UK!
Thank you! The blue bike is mine, the red one is Pete's, and we have Ewan to thank for us having them, inspired by LWR which I wouldn't have watched if it wasn't for Ewan! :-D
Thank you, glad you like it! Yeah, my family are pretty much all nutcases lol, it makes life more interesting! :o)
Thank you! And thank you again! Wow, that's a lot of thank yous in one note :o) *happy dance and then hug back*
YAY!! You passed your driving test! Congratulations, you are a superstar! ;)
LOL on the card you made for you mom's dog. Ewe-An the sexy sheep dog? Oh reallY? LOL! That totally made me LOL!
Now you've got us curious as to what Pete sent you too! Make sure you come and post as soon as you get it. :)
And for the record, when it rains here, I am THRILLED. We see rain, maybe 8 days a year. It's a treat for us when it rains...so I'm looking at that photo with the motorbikes, wistfully imagining Ewan on one of them, wet and dripping from the rain.
Okay...and now I'm just a little affected by that image. :)
Thank you! *monkey dance* I'm so pleased, I still can't believe it! I've always hated cars before, but now I'm finding myself looking at them and wanting one, it's very strange!
Hehe, glad you liked the card, I did explain to Pete that it's called Ewe-an because it's a sheep dog and ewe is a sheep, but he didn't believe me somehow..."But it's called Ewan! You just called it Ewan! It's even dressed like him in Down With Love!" Which I totally didn't notice but it shows that he's getting obsessed with all things Ewan as well, lmao!
Ack, maybe we can send you some of our rain then, the driest part of Britain has rain 150 days per year!
Ewan sitting on my motorbike eh? Thanks for that image! I'm just going to go and contemplate that for a little while....*dribble*
