Now I'm torn between two houses!
House Number One:
1) It's lovely, really nice furniture, well looked after.
2) It's literally around the corner from town and 1.5 miles away from work.
3) Sainsbury's supermarket a five minute walk away
4) Parking on the road for my car, parking around the back for my motorbike, shed for my bicycle.
5) Nice big bedroom, but not much storage space.
6) Three other people live there so it'll be nice to have company, but be a fight for the kitchen / bathroom etc. Also as I'll only have my bedroom, a fight for the living room / dining room etc and a lot less storage space after getting used to having a whole house.
House Number Two:
1) The decor isn't as nice as the other one and the furniture is a little more shabby, but it's still nice and clean and tidy.
2) It's 1 mile from work but over 2 miles from town, which makes socialising a little more awkward.
3) Tesco supermarket about half a mile away, corner shop around the corner.
4) Parking on the driveway for my car and in the garage for my motorbike.
5) Nice big bedroom PLUS another room next door which will be my own private living room. Much better for having visitors. PLUS another bedroom which I could use for storage.
6) Only one other lady lives there and she works in the evenings and is away at the weekend so no problem with fighting for kitchen space.
So now I'll give points to the houses based on the points above, see which one wins each category.
1) House Number One
2)House Number One
3) House Number One
4) House Number Two
5) House Number Two
6) House Number Two.
So they each win on three points. House Number One is nicer and has the better location with regards to convenience. House Number Two has more space, allowing me more independance and better parking, but a long way out of town.
I think I'm swaying more towards house number two at the moment...but might I regret going for the place that gives me more time / space on my own? The main thing I'm tempted by is that I'll effectively have my own little flat and more secure parking for my car and bike.
Oh and the prices are identical and both include all bills so that doesn't even come into the equation.
What would you do???
