Poling failure

Pole dancing was going great last night, I was doing all the spins no problem despite my six week absence. But then we got onto the inverts and it turns out that I've been doing it wrong all this time. It's hard to explain, but needless to say I was quite annoyed. I was doing everything that I was told to do when I was first learning, and I've been doing it for months, but last night it turns out that I've been taught wrong and that's why I've been struggling with it. The thing is, I've been doing that way for so long, it's going to be hard to get out of the habit, I'm going to have to un-learn it and start all over again. No wonder I was lagging behind Jess so much, she was doing it right! It didn't help me that my teacher said "What's going on? You should be able to do this really easily by now!" Yeah thanks, way to boost my confidence... *sulk* that just goes to show, though, that the teachers obviously don't watch us closely enough if it's taken this long for someone to notice the problem. Me and Jess are going to try a different school next week, just to try it out.

The people at work want me to be the secretary for the new transport management group for some reason. Why me? I have no idea, I seem to have become the unofficial minute taker for the office somehow, but now it's going to be official. I'm going to have organise meetings and take minutes and stuff so I've been booked onto a minute taking course, which takes a WHOLE DAY. Meh. Ah well, at least it's something extra to put on my CV, right?

I just rang the lady in House Number Two and I'm going to have another look at it on Saturday and try to imagine myself living there. I'll make sure to check everything out really closely, although I'm pretty sure I'm going to take it. It has loads of drawers right along one wall, which is ace as I've got lots of random crap so I'll have somewhere to keep it all. The garden is pretty gorgeous too so I might be able to have people over for BBQs in the Summer if the landlady doesn't mind.

I'm off to the cinema with Abi tonight to see Twilight, which, according to Pete, is a film "about vegetarian zombies." Right...
