Oh look Davey, a mirror! Oh no, it's just shadows.

Please excuse my title, me and my friends were reciting comedy sketches in the pub last night, including lines from Donald and Davey Stott, who were on Vic Reeves' Big Night Out. Most of you will probably never have heard of it, either being on the wrong side of the Atlantic (or Pacific if you're Trish) or a bit...more sane. Heh :o ( Read more... )

What's on the end of the stick, Vic? mya_scarlet January 28 2009, 23:44:22 UTC
I loved that show! So long ago now... Comedy is the only thing I'm seriously geeky about, or used to be, I can quote far more Star Wars than anything else these days :)

Do you watch The Mighty Boosh? They seem to be Vic and Bob's natural successors, kind of mixed with 80's kids TV. :D

Yay, someone else who watched it! :-D
I don't really watch much comedy these days, all the stuff I like is what was around during my childhood I think. Things like Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Father Ted, I can watch them all over and over and quote them to death :-D

I tried to watch The Mighty Boosh a few times...it's very strange, I'm not quite sure what's going on lol. You'd think I would like it, as I like Vic and Bob, but I don't quite get it. I remember an episode with Old Gregg, the first one I saw, and it just freaked the hell out of me! :-/

Ooh I love all of those, I keep meaning to get Blackadder on DVD because they never seem to repeat it on TV.

Yeah, Old Gregg is terrifying! You have to watch them a lot before they get even remotely funny, and I think the first series was much more accessible because it had the theme of being set in a zoo, so it made a bit more sense than the later ones (although still not much...)
