How likely do you think it is that: ... Your partner has sexual relations with that person.

Am I missing something here, or are "sexual relations" defined as something other than "passionate sexual intercourse"? Or is this
"as opposed to 'just friends'"?

That was actually a manipulation check...to make sure you understand the question. They're supposed to be the same thing. :)

Take a look at the second real question you ask. The answer to that question follows from the initial assumptions you ask the participant to make.
