The nursing thing is fairly common cat behavior from what I understand. My current cat doesn't do it to me, but whenever he sits on something that's made of fleece, he kneads and looks like he's trying to nurse. I was told that this often happens if the cat is weaned too soon from it's mother. My cat's previous owner got him at 6 weeks when he should have stayed with his mom until 8. A previous cat I had also liked to drool. It seemed to be whenever he was happy or content. :)
