I tend to use CBT type stuff to stall my depressive feelings, too. I've found that I need to connect to a "value" in order to remove cognitive distortions, you know what I mean? Like for example if I had been in your situation, I would be like, "well, this person doesn't want to spend time with me, BUT I can enjoy spending time alone." I can't just be like "IT doesn't matter if one person doesn't want to spend time with me" because no one wants to spend time with me.
