[Everyone is this fucking town could be one of the murderers; from the report, it even sounds like some are taking vigilante justice into their own hands and it makes Caroline's stomach twist with sickness. Death should happen in its own course, not like this.

She's underslept (couldn't sleep if she wanted to) and meandering down various streets on what she's deeming patrol, a shovel in hand, having ditched the rest of her arsenal for the one.]

*Pyro stares at the newcomer, gripping his axe handle tighter. He has no idea who this girl is, but in his mind, she's as good as dead. He doesn't say anything, just steps out of sight for the moment.*

[Something catches the corner of her eye and she goes rigid, gripping the shovel tighter and standing her ground.

Cat. It was a cat, the feline mewing and sauntering out of sight between a couple of houses.

This place is making her paranoid and it's going to drive her crazy in the end, she can feel it.]

*He stays hidden, crouching down behind the bush he'd been using for cover. He works best as an ambush predator...just wait. Wait and strike when it was best. Whoever Caroline is, it didn't matter to him; she is now a threat and should be killed*

[She scrubs at her face with the heel of a palm before continuing on her way past the bush Pyro is hiding behind. There's nothing to indicate to her that it isn't just a normal bit of Mayfield shubbery.]

*Except for the sudden rustle of brush as he jumps out from it once she passes. He has his axe over his head and brings it down, aiming to strike Caroline in the head to end it quickly*

[The rustle definitely gets her attention and if it weren't for her being so skittish and quick on her feet, her head would be split pretty evenly down the the middle. Yeah. She kinda likes her head where it is, thanks.]

WHAT'N FUCK ARE YA DOIN'?!

[She's turned around, breathing hard and bringing the shovel up.]

*Pyro doesn't answer and just stands back upright, rushing at her again. Shovels be damned -- he'd fought with the BLU Soldier before, he knew what kind of damage they could do*

[HOLY MOTHER OF --

The shovel is up, trying to block off the blow, but that's not going to stop an axe with enough force behind it.

The wooden pole splits and... yup. That's an axe embedded in her chest cavity, the lovely sound of ribs splintering accompanying the blow.]

*Mm, that's a nice splatter of blood all over Pyro's face and chest. There's not even so much a flinch at the wood splinters in his hands now. He rips the axe out of its resting place in Caroline's chest and brings it down again*

[It seems like time slows down. She has just enough time to look down at her chest -- bone splinters sticking out, warm blood gushing -- before looking up again.

Oh hey. The axe is back and -- right into the carotid artery. By this point, it's safe to say she's dead.]

*Pyro frees his axe and just leaves Caroline's body where it falls in the street. He nudges the corpse with his foot, a frightening smile on his face.*
