Sometimes it hits me like a ton of bricks how important the words your parents speak are. If they say they are proud of you, the world seems a bit lighter for a moment. An intense happy feeling spreading through your body. But at the same time, the moment you hear something bad, even if it's supposed to be a lighthearted joke, it can break you down

There aren't more important words than those we are given by our parents. They hurt the most and they excite the most. I'm sorry if it was the first one for you.
I did tell you I was proud of you, though. I'm proud of you for you were strong enough to change the direction of your life when you felt it was wrong. That's something not many people can do. Hwaiting <3
