I don't wanna go to LJ hell so here's my second entry of the day even though I have absolutely nothing to talk about, so for starters I'm gonna copy Eddie and Amy with their summer book list because I was let loose in Borders again today. Mummy Mugglets really must learn how to restrain me. Muha!

So, with today's purchases and the other stuff I ( Read more... )

Jonathoan Strange and Mr Norrell - what a novel. It is worth wading through to the end, but it is a hard slog. One notch in my bow for the reading club (the only notch) but I did finish it and review it.

And my solution to finding the right Anniversary card - made it myself. How many 16th Anniversary cards to you find out there? (OOPS did I say that?)

*Bows down before Lynda* Respect to you for managing to get through Jonathan Strange! :O ;) I don't know anyone else who's made it to the end. Yet.

Hmmm...I did make him a birthday card one year! :D

Meh, it was no biggie. Set myself a target of 50 pages per day and just did it. janijones completed it, too. We were racing each other to the end. OH and Lynn "read" it on tape. LOL

Now, beware, once you start making cards, it can become addictive. muahahahahah

It is very sad how some of the most beautiful animals in the world are being so carelessly depleted by human hunters and the environmental pollution we dump into their habitats. I have to comment that I am very afraid of wasps, bees, scorpions, anything with a stinger. I am fascinated by snakes though, except I have to be wary of rattlesnakes at the ranch. Happy Anniversary to you and Mr. Mugglets; I admire your tenacity. I think making a card would be a very good idea; maybe you could make one on the computer? I too have a copy of Jonothan Strange and Mr. Norrell that someone gave me that is sitting unread on my bookshelf. Hmmm. Maybe we need a support group for those who need to but have not finished the book.

Snakes? yay! Rocky (my big fluffy cat) brought a snake home last week. Luckily it was still alive and unharmed (except for being in shock). Once it had finished playing dead, I picked him up, named him Nagini and took him to some long grass and he happily slithered away. :D
