I can't believe it's 10 years since I received my A level results! :O I'm only thinking of this because one of the students at work receives his results today and he was crapping himself yesterday. I'm sure he'll do just fine though - he's a smart kid ( Read more... )

Naw, they do the same thing over here, too. Makes you wonder if they'd be happier if everyone failed.

Actually here it seems more and more that they're always complaining that the kids are too stupid. They just reformatted our SATs (Test needed to get into colleges) because women were scoring too low so they added an essay component. That was a fricken hard test and now they add more ( ... )

Hey Muggles, the same happens in Australia, too. And then the ranking of all the schools so parents can bag out their local public school and try and get into the elite schools bumping up the prices at those schools. Ah, but I go on.

Anyone who gets results has something to be proud of. I am working at a school right now where the majority of the students will be lucky to get any results at all (sad but true).

Yeah its really crazy that every year they say the same things about how all the exams are too easy, and at the same time they complain that not enough people are taking other subjects like science because the exams are too hard. Idiots! They just love complaining.
I found 2 years of A Levels very tough and there’s no way you can get an A without having worked really hard for it.

Arrrrrrrrgh! Yes! I swear they're obsessed with belittling the up and coming ones leaving school. They are determined to make people feel like fools even though back in the 1800's or whenever they were in bloody school exams probably didn't exist at the same level as today.
However I would like to add one thing. The pass rate at my school was the highest ever in my last year and this year it's the lowest...I'd like to think it's because of the evil little fourth year shites when we were at school really proved how thick they actually are. Can we say karma?
