Poor Zeb! He got soaked by a neighbour (with very poor coordination) watering their flowers. He ran off down the street yowling... I'm guessing that's the last I'm seeing of him for a few hours.

It needs to stop being so hot. I miss drizzle and grey skies. I even miss coming home soaking wet and cold because I forgot my umbrella. It gave me an ( Read more... )

I think I stole your weather. It's gray/black skies with thunder and lightning and POURING rain, and stepping outside for even 10 seconds makes you come back in wet and COLD. ^^; Not like I'll give it back, though. I hate heat, too.

You want a good horror story? Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill. It's about an aging death metal rock god named Jude (real name Justin) who has a macabre collection and "buys" a ghost on the Internet, which comes to him in the form of the dead man's suit. Of course, the ghost is real, and it's sent to Jude by someone he's wrong who is hell bent to send HIM to hell - and so is the ghost. FANTASTIC story, both horrifying and uplifting, and the first time a horror book has creeped me out in a LONG time. Can't recommend it enough.

Damn it, I was going to ask for it back until I saw that last bit =P

Thank you for the recommendation! My local library has no horror section (they're all muddled up in the fiction section) so finding one without a title or author's name is a nightmare.

That's exactly how Amber reacts to water! She HATES it, if so much as a drop reaches her she goes crazy...and as for trying to bath her...forget it unless ou fancy coming out of the bathroom with no eyes left!!

I've long since learned my lesson about trying to give cats baths. I still have the scars...

I like heat up to about 28c and then anything after that becomes stifling for me, unless I am out on a river on a boat ;)
But I would be crap on a holiday to Egypt, I wouldn't be able to handle the heat and would probably stay in an air conditioned bar all day ;p
We are expecting heavy rain here in London on Friday though :)
