Playing with my new lens

Dolly is actually quite hard to photograph, because she rarely sits still. She usually gets up and walks away once you give her attention and with the new lens I have to get close. Not too close, though, and lately Dolly has the habbit of running towards me to see if I have something to eat. I did manage to snap these.

What type of lens do you use?
The composition in the first is a little tight, I think, but it's fun to practice with a new lens and get the hang of it. I haven't used a SLR in ages and I miss the feel of one but it'll have to wait till I can really spare the money. Great job getting clear pics of Dolly. It must've been a challenge!
I like the colouring in these pictures, and it's always nice to see pics of your bunnies. :D :D

It's an AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G. I'm still getting used to the fact I can't zoom in or out and must move myself to frame the picture properly. Not the easiest thing with a moving subject. XD

Very nice lens, from what I've heard. Gives good bokeh and reduces flare and such. There might be better lenses for pet photography though but it should be a very nice lens for overall photography and still photography in particular. A subject such a Dolly is a bit trickier!

I've seen a good lens with zoom that would be great for indoor pet photography, but one lens at the time. ;)
I mainly got this one for doll photography and dolls usually stand still (until they don't and fall flat on their faces), but so far I've been snapping shots of my rabbits. XD
