I had a hand-drawn picture (made by my father) as a card when I was born and if I were ever to have a baby I'd want to paint a picture, too. I love how simple and yet "glee!" it is.
Nice knitting projects. You've been busy. I like the colour combo. And Zoë will be needing all sorts of warm items very soon what with winter on our doorstep. Cute stuff!

Blue and white are the colours of the nursery too, so it fits nicely. The amount of blue also makes us feel okay when we splurge on pink stuff. ;)

As far as I've paid attention to baby clothes I tend to 'like' (in quotes since I'm not into babies to begin with) the unisex colours and clothes best, not the girly girl stuff. So I can imagine a pink room would be total overkill since a lot of girl clothes are pink to begin with. XD

But I think in part it's because of the parents as they want people to know they have a son or a daughter and don't like it if people guess wrong. I had a repair guy think Zoë was a boy and then I realised she was wearing a blue shirt, so no wonder. It's not like she has a face that says "absolutely a girl, no mistake about it." She has a generic non-gender specific newborn face.
