I don't understand people's fascination with Tam Lin. I love Diana Wynne Jones but...dislike her retelling of Tam Lin =/
I guess I'll give Dean and Lee a try.

How did you like The Golden Compass movie?

I haven't got a chance to see the movie yet though the trailer looks interesting.

Also, Good Omens icon! I can already see you've got very good taste in books. 8D

I wanted to finish the book first, so I haven't watched the movie either ^^;;

*g* Thanks. Pterry just kills me with his awesomeness. Do you follow the Discworld novels?

I'm tempted to say something like the book's better anyways but it wouldn't be fair without seeing the movie first (though as a general principle... =D)

Haven't read all of them but yes. I skim the library shelves for new Discworld books whenever I'm in so I've read bits and peices all over.

By the way, I looked up the author of the Tam Lin re-write, it's definitely Pamela Dean. I think you can enjoy it even if you don't like the legend, one of the things I really liked about it was she made the main character's regular life so interesting I actually ended up imploring her to not get distracted from university by faeries! xD
