I think I'll be going first and second week of January. I'm very excited. Except I now have a huge task ahead of me in getting to know the issues, the players, cultivating sources, etc. I have a 2-inch thick binder right now to read through just to get some background on diamonds in these countries I plan on visiting.

I'll be taking immense amounts of photos. I'm trying to purchase a digital SLR camera through work for the trip (and because we need one anyhow). I'll need photos for the stories as well. So I imagine several hundred shots will be taken (and shared with all...)

I'll see if I can grab a stopover there, but I have no idea. A lot of it will be out of my hands, as it's on the government's tab. I'd love to visit though.

Yup! I arrive in Toronto on the 17th of December for Christmas, assuming all goes according to plan. Which it should, cuz I'm flying with British Airways (I looooove air miles!!!). YAY! I can't wait to see you!
