Well, first I'll say, love right back at you. You are such a delight to write with, even though we've just met I'm incredibly glad for it, and I look forward to it when it comes. So rest assured the feeling is mutual.

I know what sort of feeling you're talking about, though. It doesn't happen to me with playing as a whole as much as it does with one character over another, but I have been there. And I doubt you should worry about it being the beginning of the end, because there are times when you just burn yourself out and don't realize it until the ashes are smoldering that there was even a problem to begin with.

Just sit back and wait it out. Something will happen and the desire will come back to you, especially if it's something you love so much. I don't think we ever really lose the drive to do the things we love, but it is possible to need a bit of time away. And if you decide that's what you need then I know I myself will be around when you come back and I'm sure others will be, too.

Thank you so much for understanding. I was feeling really bad that I'd just started up this awesome thread with you and then ran out of gas. The truth is that it's mainly Mulder I'm having the trouble with rather than my other two pups. I had him in TM for a couple of years and then left for about a year because I'd totally lost his voice. I came back and I'm still trying to get it, and I think sometimes he just leaves me. I'm hoping if I do a prompt or a ficlet or something, he'll come back. It's annoying!!

Don't worry about that at all! I'm a very easygoing and understanding person, especially when it comes to writing and things like that. I firmly believe that all of this is supposed to be fun for us and if it ever gets to a point where we feel burnt out or otherwise, then we have to take a step back. I really do hope, though, that it passes for you because our thread thus far is amazing, and you have an excellent grasp on Mulder's voice.

I think you might be on to something, though, with a prompt or ficlet because those often help me find the voice again. Also, what works for me? Music. I swear, if I listen to the X-Files soundtracks, or something related like that? Scully just flies awake and begs my attention.

I'm sure this will pass for you. <3 And don't worry, I will be around when it does!
