Hi, everyone! The piece below is my entry into the August writing contest for Brigits Flame. It's short, around 350 words, so read if you want to, and as always, tell me what you think.

I'm your backup editor this week, belatedly following in the footsteps of your primary editor, who pretty much covered everything thoroughly. I'll just add that I though this piece was very effective. You have wonderful descriptions that convey the emotion of the situation without being overdone, and also get across effectively the personalities of your characters. You did a really nice writing job here!

*hugs* thanks for reading! I was picturing Fairy Child when I wrote this; her hair is always messy, even after she's combed it, but especially if she's been trying on clothes.

I made it to the second week of the cometition, which is much more than I expected for my first time. The second story was much harder to write; I hope it makes it through, but it's longish, so I don't know . . .
