Thank you so much for the edit and the encouragement! This has not happened to me, thank goodness, because sometimes my husband is the only person in my corner. I wrote this on a rather bad day at work, and my imagination tends to present me with frightening things on bad days (because the above scenario is my second worst nightmare, the first being the death of my daughter).

The only things I noticed were very, very minor. There were just a few places where there was a comma splice or a word that needed changing, but since it's all stuff that usually would get caught during an edit I know it's not a reflection of your writing ability.
You did a great job with the flow of the dialogue, and I really liked the amount of detail you included in the piece. It really makes the reader feel like they're sitting at a nearby table, witnessing the unfortunate scene. Great work!
