Wonderful! I've been getting tired of how fairy tales have taken the 'everyone wins' attitude as of late. Fairy tales in there original state were full of 'don't do this or bad things will happen'. When I see how disneyfied some of my favorite stories have become, I cringe. The little mermaid Died in the end, for heaven sake! The moral of the story was good deeds will lead to better things in the afterlife. Growing up with the real tales taught me that not everything ends in a happy ending. I learned to be practical and optimistic even though read dark tales.

Wizard of Oz use to play every year. It was overkill.I still watched it like there might be a better ending eventually. Seeing this tale put in such a dark light made me smile. You've finally given me that better ending.

I think fairy tales were originally concocted to scare children into behaving (have you ever read "The Red Shoes"? it makes my blood boil). If the child is going to take an adult role in a story, they should be able to make their own justice. Thanks for reading!

I thought this was quite delightful. It made me smile, and it made me think, especially your message at the end. I particularly enjoyed this line: "Dorothy," Lion purred, barely above a sigh, "kids ain't inhib- inhib- ." - Hee! I could so clearly hear his voice.

Well done! :)

Oh, I'm so glad you said that! I couldn't get this right for the longest time, and it was because Lion's voice was wrong.

Thanks for reading!

This was hilarious XD In fairytales and stories like this, the main character always seems to accept a lot without putting their foot down.. your story was a great change from that.
