My "smart money" says that this is being covered on Current TV by a certain sportscaster turned newscaster with a particularly large cranium. Why "Current TV," only? Because current TV was covering the Rupert Murdoch/News Corp. scandal before anyone else in the states even glossed over it; they've stuck with it, and have continued to report on the very real possibility that News Corp. may have hacked cell phones of 9/11 victims. In other words, they're covering stories that generally are being ignored by the other cable news channels.
You don't need me to explain why this isn't covered by FOX News; if they ever mentioned it, it would be in celebration of the bill passing. CNN refuses to take a stance on anything, so they won't touch this because that would require having a spine, or balls, or both. MSNBC's dirty little secret is that the president of the company is notoriously conservative, even though their anchors are rather liberal.
Current TV is a bit different though; it's largely controlled by Al Gore, yes that Al Gore. The "

Krys, I have a bit of a follow-up for you on this.
Chris Matthews covered the "Personhood Amendment" and its ramifications yesterday (10/28/2011) on Hardball with Chris Matthews over on MSNBC so this is at least (finally) gaining some mainstream media traction. You should be able to find the Hardball segment over at hardball.msnbc.com by looking at the clips available for 10/28/2011. (I can't think of a reason for them to exclude this one.) The story might be split into two clips because Chris had two guests on the show for this story. The first was one of those nuts from the Family Research Council, and the second was a female editor from Newsweek; you can guess whose position Chris Matthews agreed with.
Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but this same group (Personhood USA) tried to pass a similar amendment twice in your home state of Colorado, where it ultimately failed on the ballot, so that gives me some hope that this thing can be beaten.
