"Master Madrox?" Luke asked, giving the cow a curious glance.

"Oh, just call me Jamie," he said getting up from his chair. "I'm not really into titles. Wow, Luke. You got old fast."

Luke grinned. "Different Luke, I'm afraid. I'm Ben's father, not Anakin's son. Well, I'm Anakin's son, but not this Anakin's son."

Timelines. What are you going to do?

"Ah. Timelines. Fandom always makes that fun," Jamie noted. "So what can I do for you? I assume Ben's told you all about his favorite professor."

"Professor Madrox?" Bran said, stepping into the room. He had smelled the cow before he had even got near, so he regarded it will merely a cursory glance before extending his hand.

"I'm Bran Cornick, friend of the family of Mercy Thompson."

"Oh! Right," Jamie said snapping his fingers. "The brunette girl who refuses to participate in class and do her homework."

"I was wondering if I could see a syllabus for your class," Bran said, ignoring the comment. As car as he was concerned Mr. Madrox's opinion of Mercy didn't matter.

"And perhaps a copy of her grade printout?"

Funny. If Jamie's opinion of Mercy didn't matter, why was he here?

"Oooh. Yeah, a syllabus," Jamie said. "I really should make one of those one of these days. As for her grade? Yeah, well she usually refuses to do anything in class unless it suits her needs. I'd say... yeah, she's probably getting a D or an F."

Jamie then sat down behind the desk and kicked his feet up.

"And if you're here to lecture me, save it. If Mercy doesn't want to be in my class, which she apparently doesn't, she's welcome to drop my course. Simple as that."

After visiting various other people on campus and... well apologizing for Madrox's existence, Layla had one more stop to make.

"Hey there," she said leaning up against the doorway. "You look good without the tattoo."

Jamie's heart stopped beating for a second or two as he slowly got up from his chair.

He blinked a few times at the girl... woman in front of him and felt a knot grow in his throat.

"Layla?" he said moving forward.

"Missed you too," Layla said softly as she moved towards Jamie, a catch also in her voice.

And that would be Jamie showing Layla just exactly how much he missed her.

Good thing the other Jamie was still at home with a certain ninja. This could get him killed.
