The new ordinance bans gun stores in Chicago and prohibits gun owners from stepping outside their homes, even onto their porches, with a handgun. It will take effect in 10 days.

I'm so glad the Chicago City Council supports making law-abiding citizens easier targets for criminals.

What is that just Chicago proper or do I have to stay out of Hanover Park more than usual?

The joke is that people die there all the time.

I've found this is a "northern" thing.

Come to the south. If some dude tries to get all uppity and threaten your lives by breaking into your house, you have the right to shoot them.

With a howitzer.

(Just make sure they fall on your side of the doorway)

(And if they don't drag them in)

Hear Hear. Illinois is the only place that seems to have it worse than California for firearms, oy.
